The UK Riots

Following on from Criminals comments i just wanna say i saw that Crimewatch cctv appeal too. Without making this too controversial or sound wrong, what i wanna know is why were all of the youths black? Where were the asian and white youths? This sparks many questions as to whether it was mainly black youths causing the rioting and looting, or was the media just portraying it that way.

Tottenham and Hackney do have alot of black youths. In Birmingham and West Brom there are plenty of Asian youths but how come you dont see any of them running around with tv’s and crates of alcohol?

I’ve seen alot of documentaries on American history and this reminds me of the LA riots; the riots in Croydon were more like the riots in Compton There seriously needs to be some social reform. How the UK goes about doing that is a different story.

I just finished watching crimewatch and stumbled accross this site. Just wanted to say.. did you see the cctv footage of some of the looters?! Men and women alike, these looters were going all out! Showed some footage of Richer Sounds getting done over, JD Sports, PC World and even Tesco! I wonder if they got the weeks groceries? Or how about a new tin of baked beans? Maniacs!

One guy walked away with a TV whilst another guy grabbed the remote control. One girl snatched a bottle of Archers from the hand of another looter carrying a few bottles of wine!

Just imagine, if the uk had the same gun laws as America, what d you think the outcome of the riots would’ve been? Ontop of 3 people mowed down by a car, there probably wouldve been scores of other civillians mowed down in crossfire.

Bottom line is that police shouldnt have guns because they shoot unarmed people. If police didnt have guns the robbers wouldnt need guns either. If nobody had guns and they were scarce, then there would be less fatalities.

I think the government should hold an anonymous arms amnesty every 6 months so that guns could be handed in. The police should then unarm themselves but still wear stab and bullet proof vests just incase.

We have a lower gun crime rate compared to the U.S, but what little crime we do have is probably rootly due to our officers being armed and robbers trying to outgun them.

Everyone, put down the guns, stop the rioting and looting; lets live long and prosper
